Tecpresa finished the post-tensioning works of AVE (high-speed rail line) subsection knot of Venta de Baños in the Spanish province of Palencia, which represents a triangle connecting Madrid to Segovia to Valladolid by AVE, and continuing on to Burgos via the Palencia-Leon-Asturias AVE.
The works include the post-tensiong of two viaducts, one over the river Pisuerga, 1,128m long, and another measuring 1,330m, which will pass over the A-62, the Madrid-Hendaye railway and the river Pisuerga. Almost 800.000 kgs. of post-tensioning steel with anchorage units of 12,19,24 and 31 strands were installed.
